Who we are

This website, jigsawconsulting.im, is run by Jigsaw Consulting Limited, a company registered in the Isle of Man (company no. 133041C), of 2nd Floor Gordon House, 10A Prospect Hill, Douglas, Isle of Man IM1 1EJ. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Jigsaw Consulting Limited.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser so it can remember something about your visit. Websites can also use similar technology, such as your browser’s “local storage”, to save small pieces of information on your device. In this policy we use “cookies” to cover both.

Some cookies are strictly necessary to make a website work the way you’ve asked it to. Others, such as analytics cookies, are optional, and we only use them if you agree.

The cookies we use

Strictly necessary

We save one item to remember whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies, so we don’t ask you again on every page. It isn’t a cookie: it’s kept in your browser’s local storage, it isn’t sent to us or anyone else, and it contains nothing that identifies you. Because it’s needed to respect your choice, we don’t ask for consent to store it.

Analytics (only if you click “Accept”)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use our site, for example which pages are popular, where people arrive from and which key buttons and links are clicked (such as booking, subscribe, download buttons and sign-up forms), so we can improve it. Google Analytics is not loaded at all, and none of these cookies are set, unless you click “Accept” on our cookie banner.

MailerLite sign-up form (only if you click “Accept”)

Our free downloads and waitlist emails are sent using MailerLite (MailerLite Limited), which provides the sign-up forms on our Resources and Online Course pages. The forms and MailerLite’s script are only loaded after you click “Accept” on our cookie banner, as MailerLite may set its own cookies to run the forms and prevent spam. If you sign up, MailerLite stores your name, email address and the downloads or waitlist you chose so we can email you, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. The information Google Analytics collects is aggregated, such as pages visited, time on site, approximate location (town or country), device and browser type, and how you reached us. We don’t use it to identify you. We’ve asked Google to anonymise IP addresses, and Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Whatever you choose, our site tells Google that advertising storage and ad personalisation are not allowed.

Advertising and marketing

We don’t use any advertising, marketing, retargeting or social media tracking cookies.

Third parties

If you accept analytics cookies, Google processes the analytics data on our behalf. Google may process data on servers outside the Isle of Man, the UK and the European Economic Area, including in the United States. You can read more in Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Google also offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics.

Some buttons on our site take you to other websites, for example our Microsoft Bookings page to book a call, or Stripe to pay for a product. These are separate sites run by other companies, with their own cookie and privacy policies, which we don’t control. Please check their policies when you visit them.

Our fonts and images are hosted on our own server, so simply browsing our pages doesn’t share your details with font or image services.

How to change your choice

You can change your mind at any time:

• Use the “Change cookie settings” button on this page, or the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. The cookie banner will reappear so you can choose again.
• If you previously accepted and now decline, Google Analytics won’t load on the pages you visit from then on. Any analytics cookies already in your browser stay there until they expire, unless you delete them using your browser settings.
• You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Your browser’s help pages explain how, for example Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Microsoft Edge. Clearing your browser data also removes our jigsaw_consent setting, so you’ll be asked again on your next visit.

The law

We handle personal data in line with the Isle of Man’s data protection law, the Data Protection (Application of GDPR) Order 2018. Because we also work with clients in the United Kingdom, we follow the UK’s rules on cookies too: the UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). These rules require consent before non-essential cookies, such as analytics cookies, are set, which is why we ask first.

We’ll update this page if we change the cookies we use. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
